Colin Passmore Biography

Colin Passmore was born in Armadale West Australia, and later relocated to Cottesloe. He attended evening art classes at the James Street Tech, East Perth through his early teens, all the time developing his painting and spending many a rewarding hour visiting the art galleries of Perth.

It was in the early 80's that that Colin began exhibiting his art, winning critical acclaim and acceptance from some of Australia's top galleries and critics.
He has had representation with many galleries throughout Australia and Japan and has had 25 important exhibitions.

2014 Colin contiues to develop his work in a contemporary vein as a colourist and with a very Australian dynamic
2011 Colin has started out this year with some large private commissions and is working towards an exhibition to be held in West Australia in the near future.
2010 Relocated to Mount Coolum, and is embarking on an exciting rendition of the imagery of that area!
2009 Relocated to the Byron Bay coast, where he worked on a new suite of coastal paintings and surfed!
2008 Solo exhibition at Mad Fish exhibition space, Kings Beach QLD.
2005 Solo exhibition at the HYATT REGENCY RESORT, Coolum Beach, Qld.
Opened the first  colinpassmore, Coolum beach Qld
2004 Solo exhibition at the LYNNE WILTON GALLERY, High Street, Armadale Victoria
