Originally from Albury, New South Wales, I moved to Melbourne to study Graphic Design, graduating from Swinburne University.
After working in the graphic arts industry for fifteen years, I made the leap into the world of fine art.
Completely self taught, I have worked very hard to develop a unique style and have been painting full time since 2007.
My art is influenced by my surroundings, my experiences as a parent and my observations of everyday life events, no matter how insignificant they may appear to be.
More recently I have been focusing on stencil paintings. Using humour, I make comment on the present by evoking the past. By placing modern technology out of context I am seeking
to increase our awareness about how much our lives have changed - and not always for the better.
Finalist in the $20,000 Gallipoli Art Prize 2016
I was a finalist in the $150,000 Signature of M Art Prize (2008 - a one off competition to create a unique representation of Melbourne), two time finalist in the Koko Black National Drawing Prize (2008/9).
