Free In-Home Art Consultancy / Mobile Gallery [Back to top] The Directors of Manyung Gallery have developed a positive reputation for providing practical and creative consultancy for clients wishing to receive objective input to their creative needs. Typically, we visit a house, digitally record the areas requiring attention, measure critical spaces, review artificial and natural lighting affecting hanging or display areas, and assess the current layout as well as tonality of the target environment. We then make a series of recommendations as to style, size and artist, bearing in mind the budgetary constraints of individual circumstances. The next step is to bring a range of artworks into the house, usually leaving them for a day or two and assisting the client in trying them in various locations. At this stage we determine whether specific commissions are required to satisfy particular locational needs. Our extended payment terms are often enjoyed by clients benefiting from Manyung Gallery’s in-home art consultancy service. Hanging and Installation [Back to top] Manyung has the capacity to install paintings and sculpture. We have sourced a number of specialist painting hangers and sculpture installers. Our objective is to provide ultimate customer service by having every facet of your new acquisition installed to your absolute satisfaction. David would be more than pleased to discuss your individual needs and refer you to the most appropriate contractor. Extended Payment Terms [Back to top] Manyung Gallery offers extended payment terms through Paysmart, whereby clients are able to ease their budgetary challenges through extending their payments interest free over three months. A Valuation Certificate will be provided on completion of the payment schedule.
Commissions [Back to top] The Gallery has numerous artists who can satisfy clients’ special creative needs and are very capable in painting figurative, land and seascapes, either in traditional or impressionistic styles. The process involves the artist and the Gallery liaising closely with you, the client, to clearly ascertain the brief, and depending on the complexity and the budget, mock-ups or maquettes may be developed (at an additional cost) as part of the creative concept approval process. A commencing deposit of 30% of the final quoted amount will be invoiced and paid prior to the commencement of the project. Lead times for the delivery of either the concepts or finished artworks depend on the complexity and the individual artist’s workloads. Please contact Sharyn for further details and to arrange a meeting with the artist of your choice.
Corporate Sales and Leasing [Back to top] In order to take advantage of the taxation benefits attached to leasing or hire of artwork Manyung Gallery has developed a very flexible artwork leasing service which can enable corporate clients to change the decorative décor of their offices on a regular basis. It also offers a conversion to buy capability and a full curatorial and advisory service. Of course, installation is part of the corporate leasing service offered by the Gallery. Please contact David or Sharyn for a copy of our corporate sales and leasing program. Export [Back to top] Manyung Gallery has proudly exported artwork to Canada, the Channel Islands, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, PRC Holland, new Caledonia, Malaysia, Scotland, Singapore, and the United States. In order to ensure that artwork arrives in a safe and timely manner, Manyung Gallery has forged alliances with specialty freight on forwarders and packing services. These services also provide advice on insurance. To date we have experienced no problems whatsoever in exporting artwork on behalf of our clients to any destination. It is also worth noting that export sales are Goods and Services Tax exempt and the appropriate documentation is prepared by the Gallery to reflect this for those clients wishing to take artwork overseas. Artist Dinners [Back to top] Becoming more and more popular is the Artist Dinner series put on by the Gallery whereby a higher profile artist hosts and speaks at a dinner held on-site at the Boyz@Manyung. The restaurant has the capacity to seat 60 people, develops a specialist menu appropriate to the occasion and usually features the wine sponsor of the month. The artists talk about the inspiration they derive their creativity from, the particular exhibition currently on show at Manyung and usually answer questions on a wide range of interesting and many times amusing subject matters. Please enquire with Sharyn for more details about the next artist dinner. Artist-in-Residence [Back to top] For a number of years now Manyung Gallery has proudly worked closely with Terrence J Hadler as artist-in-residence at the Gallery. Terrence brings almost 30 years of artistic experience to the numerous students that he teaches at the Gallery on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings. In the summer the courtyards are full of artists painting under the Gallery’s 140 year old oak tree and in the winters they cluster around the fires that are lit throughout the Gallery, providing instant creative stimulation to all the visitors who pause at the easels. Corporate and Private Functions [Back to top] Manyung Gallery has made a vital contribution to the Bayside community over the last 40 years. Many weddings, engagements, major birthdays and corporate product and service launches have occurred within the ten sub-galleries and courtyards of our iconic establishment. We have four areas where weddings of varying sizes can be conducted, depending on seasonality and the particular needs of the bride and groom. The wedding party may wish to arrive across the moat and drawbridge into the vaulted “Round Room” washed with the amazing light that projects through the leadlight windows into this special space. Or they may wish to have a more relaxed wedding outside, under the span of our 140 year old oak tree surrounded by sculpture, gardens and the sound of water flowing through numerous water features. Whatever your needs, please make contact with Emma who will be able to answer any questions you have. Because the galley is primarily a commercial gallery, we can only facilitate wedding ceremonies on the weekends after 5.30pm. Corporate launches, information evenings and private meetings can be held together with finger food and dinners, up to 120 people stand-up or 60 people sit-down. Projectors, screens, PA systems and support materials can be hired on an as-needed basis. We are particularly geared to corporate functions of an evening nature.
